CLASSES
Our facility is comprised of seven preschool
classrooms and three school-age groups.
Preschool
The preschool is broken down into seven separate
classrooms.
They are:
The Zebra
Room (ages 22 months-36 months) with the class ratio being one
teacher per six children
The Giraffe
Room (ages 2 ½-3 ½) with one teacher per eight children
The Tiger
Room (ages 3-4) with one teacher per ten children
The Bear
Room (ages 3-4) with one teacher per ten children
The Hippo
Room (ages 3 ½-5) with one teacher per twelve children
The Monkey
Room (ages 4-5) with one teacher per thirteen children
The Elephant
Room (ages 4-5) with one teacher per thirteen children
There are also three aides a day that help out in
all classrooms. All of our
lead teachers either have a college degree or have the required training
for the classroom. They have
numerous years of experience in the daycare setting.
School-age
School-age is broken down into K-1, 2-3, and 4-6.
These groups average about 12-15 children a day with one teacher
per group. Afternoons
consist of homework time, art, outside time, and gym time.
We want the afternoons to be a wind down time for the children
after a hard day’s work at school.
During the summers, teachers plan daily activities for the
children. Weekly field trips
are taken to the swimming pool and various local restaurants.
Also, from time to time, the children will go on field trips out
of town to places such as museums, state parks, amusement parks, etc.
